As a contemporary artist, Karen Alekyan highly appreciates ecological, social-political, gender and human rights problems. His art reflects the social-political picture of the world and global issues. The main message of his art is social injustice, the rights of small nations in the big politics, racial discrimination, raising of ecological problems. He is sure that the main issue in the context of Contemporary Arts should not be the philosophy of inperfect past but that of foreseen Future.
He is a freelance artist, he works in the sphere of painting, digital art, mailart, book art, installation, photo, performance and videoarts. His works are presented in Armenia and in many countries of the world.
