Llamada a participar en proyecto de ArteHoy los conceptos de “migración y exilio” constituyen una fuerza constante que además se extienden hacia los paisajes de identidad, inclusión y exclusión. Las sociedades miran al extranjero a través de una neblina: Un extranjero es alguien que se asimila o alguien que se teme. ¿Quién es un extranjero en realidad? ¿Qué busca un extranjero o de qué huye? Don Quijote nos muestra un cambio de perspectiva en esto que va del permiso de residencia al explorador, legalizando la persona aunque sea exiliado o inmigrante que debió cruzar las fronteras por razones históricas obligatorias o porque el contexto global tan cambiante en el mundo se lo impone.Cree arte usando la forma de un libro alterado, o “mail art” ( que tenga las medidas de 8”x11” o A4) para ser exhibido en el Noroeste de Estados Unidos y en Chile en el año 2016. Empiece a trabajar imaginativamente y a crear ahora mismo. Pronto enviaremos más detalles acerca de las futuras exhibiciones de arte / literarias y culturales y a dónde enviar su trabajos artísticos. Estos detalles serán anunciados durante el próximo verano 2015. No habrá jurado, no habrá devolución de los trabajos. Todo lo enviado será propiedad del Proyecto Don Quijote para ser usado en futuras exhibiciones y simposios que se harán con el tema inmigración y exilio.Favor enviar por adelantado parte de su trabajos en jpegs con su nombre y conexión a su página web o con sus datos personales para ser puestos en el blog de Don Quijote. Art Call

Migration and exile is a constant force creating shifting landscapes of identity, inclusion and exclusion. Society views the migrant as stranger in its midst: a stranger that is either assimilated or feared. Who is the stranger? What is the stranger searching for or fleeing? Don Quixote shifts the perspective from settlement to explorer, whether exiled or migrating through the boundaries of historical situations or our rapidly changing global context. Create art using the altered book form, or mail art (not to exceed size 8"x11" or A4) to be exhibited in both the United States and Chile in 2016. Start imagining and creating now. Details about art/literary/cultural exhibitions and where to send the art will be announced summer 2015. No jury, no return. All art becomes property of the Quixote project to be curated for future exhibitions and symposiums on migration and exile. Please send jpegs of your art, your name and link to your website or contact info to be posted on the Don Quixote blog.
